State laws and regulations that dictate labor relations and employment policies in Pennsylvania are often outdated, insufficient, or unbalanced to the detriment of employers. NFIB believes reforms are needed to address waste and abuse of the unemployment compensation and workers’ compensation systems. Small business opposes any means that would artificially effecuate the markets throuh increases at the state level of minimum wage, unemployment compensation and workers’ compensation at the risk of preventing growth and prosperity.
