June 5, 2015, Tallahassee, FL – Statement from NFIB/Florida Executive Director Bill Herrle on
the passage of the House’s tax package:
“The House’s tax cut package represents a ‘thank you’ to our state’s
hardworking small business owners.
“The tax package includes some of NFIB’s major priorities – the small business
Saturday sales tax holiday,
reducing the sales tax business owners pay on commercial leases and cutting
cell phone and cable taxes.
“Fostering a business climate that enables businesses to grow and thrive helps
businesses stay in Florida and encourages businesses in other states to open
their doors here – this is what really keeps the economy strong. The House’s
tax plan succeeds in doing this. These tax cuts will keep our business climate
competitive and will help small business owners grow their small businesses and
create jobs.”
