Indiana’s 500,000 small businesses owners are celebrating the state’s first annual Entrepreneurship Week.
Employing almost 1.2 million Hoosiers, small businesses across the Hoosier state comprise 97 percent of the state’s businesses. This week, the state celebrates “all things entrepreneurial,” according to IgnitingIndiana.com.
“Proclaimed by the State of Indiana, Entrepreneurship Week highlights those individuals who have dedicated their lives to entrepreneurship and small business,” according to the event’s official state site. “To honor these men and women, Entrepreneurship Week shines a light on those who turn their passions into reality and are igniting Indiana’s economy.”
Around the state, entrepreneurs and business professionals are hosting events aimed at helping launch new businesses and boosting businesses that are already up and running. Events range from seminars on how to navigate legal issues to how to use Quickbooks to increasing exports.
