Its crunch time in Harrisburg as Governor Tom Wolf and his
legislative allies attempt to pass massive tax increases that will affect small
businesses and working families.  As the
Governor and the Legislature negotiate a final budget for Pennsylvania, they
need to hear from you.

Here’s what’s at stake:

  • A 21 percent increase in the personal income tax
    rate from 3.07% to 3.7%;
  • A 10 percent increase in the Sales and Use Tax
    rate from 6% to 6.6% and an expansion of the tax to almost every item or
    service;
  • A retroactive tax increase on community banks
    that could reduce the amount of money available to lend by $3.8 billion over
    the next 5 years
  • And a drastic reduction in the “vendor
    allowance” that helps cover some of the administrative costs forced onto small
    businesses that collect the sales tax which would be capped at $25/month.

Contact your legislators today and tell them – don’t balance
the budget on the backs of small businesses and working families!
