Even though Connecticut’s gubernatorial debate season
already kicked off last month, with incumbent Governor Dannel Malloy having
faced off against Republican challenger Tom Foley in a debate at Norwich Free
Academy, at least six more debates have been tentatively scheduled for the
candidates between now and Election Day.
While the Norwich debate received last minute television coverage from
the CT-N public affairs network, the remaining debates are all scheduled to be
broadcast through various media outlets around the state (the Norwich debate is
viewable on-demand
on the CT-N website). In addition to
the debate schedule, both Malloy and Foley will be appearing separately and
together at various candidate forums around the state. The next gubernatorial debate is scheduled
for September 30th.
