Sen. Brian Munzlinger, an NFIB/Missouri member, has introduced a bill meant to protect businesses from frivolous lawsuits stemming from the misuse of their products.
NFIB joined other business groups in testifying in favor of Senate Bill 192 before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, March 10.
“It basically says that if you are not using a product the way it was designed to be used and you get hurt, it’s on you,” said Brad Jones, state director of NFIB/Missouri.
The Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys opposes the bill.
