Learn about the caucuses—then educate your employees.
Even though I work in politics every day, there is always something new to learn. More importantly, sometimes it is good to revisit what you think you already know. That is why next week I am taking the FREE online course on the Iowa Caucus system that is being offered through Iowa State University and taught by Professor Steffen Schmidt. As employers, it is also our job to educate. There are studies that show employees look to employers for more information about issues that affect their livelihoods; they tend to believe their employers over other sources. This puts a huge responsibility in the employers’ hand to provide correct information that isn’t construed as being coercive or swaying of the employee’s point of view. Options like this course and the Caucus Toolkit are available to pass along to employees.
