NC Entrepreneurs Earn Small Business Champion Awards

Date: June 04, 2014

Two entrepreneurs from across the state have received Small Business Champion awards from the North Carolina office of the National Federation of Independent Business.
The recipients are:
  • Dale Dorsey, president of Lubromation Inc., Charlotte
  • Ron Joyce, president and chief executive of Joyce Farms, Winston-Salem
The Small Business Champion Award honors NFIB members who go the extra mile to help the association promote and protect the right of its members to own, operate and grow their businesses.
“NFIB is the voice of small business, both in Raleigh and in Washington, D.C., but our voice can’t be heard without members like Dale Dorsey and Ron Joyce,” said Gregg Thompson, state director of NFIB/North Carolina.
“Dale and Ron have been instrumental with promoting issues to help the small-business community as well as playing a very active role in NFIB’s advocacy efforts and political action committee, the NFIB/North Carolina SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust,” Thompson said. “They’ve also helped advocate for small business by talking to legislators as well as the media.
“This award is our way of thanking them for doing so much to help defend free enterprise in North Carolina,” Thompson said.
NFIB is the nation’s leading small-business association, with 350,000 dues-paying members nationwide, including 8,000 in North Carolina.
