2015 Small Business Day a Huge Hit With Members

Date: September 29, 2015

NFIB/Utah’s Small Business Days at the Capitol are one of the most circled events on the calendars of top elected officials and policymakers. That’s because of the respect and regard they have for people like you: The small-business owners of our state who generate nearly all new jobs and employ more than half of all workers.
This year’s event succeeded in amplifying the small-business message with top policymakers. It began with a morning briefing, followed by presentations from top legislators. At noon, a luncheon, where even more lawmakers sat down with NFIB members, was held in the capitol rotunda.
In the video below, Rep. Kraig Powell, NFIB Leadership Council Member Mark Lewon, and NFIB/Utah State Director Candace Daly discuss the value NFIB provides and the importance of Small Business Day.
If you could not make it this year, we hope to see you in 2016. The more small-business owners we have in attendance, the louder we speak, and the more our message is remembered in the halls of the State Capitol.
NFIB is grateful to AT&T, South Valley Specialties and Utah Metal Works for their sponsorship of Small Business Day at the Capitol.
