NFIB Congratulates 2 Members On Receiving 2015 Small Business Awards of Excellence

OKLAHOMA CITY, April 29, 2015–The National Federation of Independent Business, the nation’s and Oklahoma’s leading small-business association, congratulates two of its members who received Small Business Awards of Excellence today from Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb.

The recipients were Dick Morris of Advantage Controls LLC in Muskogee, an NFIB member business since 2009, and Bill Solomon of Vacuworx International in Tulsa, which also joined NFIB in 2009. The awards were presented at the 17th annual Lieutenant Governor’s Small Business Day at the Capitol.

Advantage Controls, founded in 1994, has grown from three to 115 employees. It makes controls, pumps and systems for use in water-treatment applications. Vacuworx International, founded in 1999, engineers and manufactures heavy-duty lifting equipment the drilling, utilities and road construction industries.

“We’re enormously proud of Advantage Controls and Vacuworx International,” said Jerrod Shouse, state director of NFIB/Oklahoma, the state’s leading small-business association, with over 4,000 dues-paying members representing a cross section of the state’s economy.

“It’s businesses like Advantage Controls and Vacuworx International that keep Oklahoma’s economy strong and help the voice of small business be heard, both in the Statehouse and in Congress,” Shouse said.
