Sylvester Smith
NFIB/Arkansas State Director

Sylvester L. Smith III became state director of NFIB/Arkansas in 2007.

Prior to joining NFIB, he served as the Arkansas Department of Economic Development's director of Small and Minority Business Development. 

He previously served as former Gov. Mike Huckabee's policy adviser for minority affairs and interim deputy director in the state's Washington, D.C., office.

The Philander Smith College graduate is also a certified public manager and a graduate of the Cooperative Extension Service's LeadAR program.
