Susan Ridge

Vice President, Communications

As vice president of communications, Susan Ridge oversees all external and internal communications, which includes responsibility for key member publications such as the award-winning magazine MyBusiness as well as national and state media relations. Previously at NFIB, Ridge was executive director of its Young Entrepreneur Foundation.

Ridge joined NFIB in September 2001 after 15 years at Burson-Marsteller, a global public relations agency. While working in their London, New York and Washington offices, she managed global public affairs and media campaigns for a number of corporate and non-profit clients. A native of Ohio, she also was a press aide to former U.S. Rep. John Kasich, Ohio-12th Dist., and the Ohio Senate.

Ridge is a graduate of Ohio University and presently serves as senior policy fellow at the university's Voinovich Center for Public Affairs and Leadership. She is involved in the Washington, D.C.-area community as a member of the board of directors of the Washington Animal Rescue League, former chairman of the board of Choralis, a performing arts organization, and a member of the American Council of Young Political Leaders.
